New - from when the walk starts on the 29th March there will be a diary and prayer site.

I am planning a walk in Spring 2003 from one end of Britain to the other, hoping to hear what local churches along the way have to say about social and economic change and their responses to it. You will see that the route does not include Wales: this is a matter of regret for me, but there just isn't the time. You can look at what I am doing and why in the proposal.

You can now find out how close to you the walk passes and when with the proximity finder.

You can see what I am planning to do here, when I shall be in places, and so forth. This is far from the final version, merely the current plan at the time you downloaded this.

The following are available;-

• A list of each day's destination and distance, html, 20k

I may also need help (in both senses). These are the things that might be useful;-

• A chance to interview churches and organisations about how they feel about social and economic change and what they are doing about it. (1/2-1 hour, please not too far off the route!)
• Water - no seriously, it's one of the heaviest things I have to carry
• Directions to the nearest launderette
• (Occasionally) a floor for the night / postal address for the next tranche of maps etc.
